ALCOHOL DEPENDENCE

Alcohol dependence is a condition in which an individual is physically or psychologically dependent upon alcohol. It is a chronic disease in which a person craves drinks that contains alcohol and is unable to control his or her drinking. A person with this disease also needs to drink greater amounts to get the same effect and has withdrawal symptoms after stopping alcohol use. Our aim is to provide pharmacological as well as psychological support to those battling this addiction and providing them with measures to avoid relapse.

OPIOID DEPENDENCE

Opioid addiction can cause major health, social and economic problems. Signs of the disorder include a strong desire to use opioids, difficulty fulfilling obligations, trouble reducing use and withdrawal symptoms with discontinuation. Opioid withdrawal symptoms may include nausea, muscle aches, diarrhoea, trouble sleeping, agitation and a low mood. Our treatment plan caters to the individual needs of the patient so that his journey toward de-addiction could be as smooth as possible.

CANNABIS DEPENDENCE

Cannabis addiction or marijuana addiction, is defined as the continued use of cannabis despite clinically significant impairment. Its use is associated with comorbid mental health problems, such as mood and anxiety disorders. Our treatment aim is to ensure that our patients have a smooth journey of de-addiction without any complications.

SEDATIVE AND PRESCRIPTION DRUG ABUSE

In this, patient uses drugs in other ways than what it was prescribed for, including using someone’s else prescriptions. We, at Aas strive to work towards a holistic healing so that, we not only tackle the present addiction but try to understand the psychology behind it.

CHRONIC SCHIZOPHRENIA

Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder that affects the way a person thinks, acts, expresses emotions, perceives reality, and relates to others. It can be chronic and disabling and the people with schizophrenia often have problems doing well in society, at work, at school and in relationships. Our aim is to assist the patient on this long journey by pharmacological and psychological measures. We also ensure that the family is educated about the illness and the long term outcomes.

CHRONIC BIPOLAR DISORDER

Bipolar disorder can cause unusual, often extreme and fluctuating changes in mood, energy, activity, and concentration or focus. It may occur occasionally or at regular intervals. Though, it is a lifelong illness, it can be managed with a proper treatment plan. We, at Aas, develop a custom treatment plan for each patient, combining both pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy, so that our patients could lead a healthy and productive life.

RESISTANT OCD

Upto one third cases of OCD, develop treatment resistant OCD, that is not responsive to standard treatment regimens and psychotherapy. We, at Aas, study each individual case and develop a custom made plan for our patients. Regular supervision and guidance by qualified psychiatrist and psychologists aid in the recovery.

RESISTANT DEPRESSION

A person with resistant depression may not respond to standard treatments. They might need constant supervision and multiple counselling sessions.
